Stretchy Electronics Workshop

USE SOFT CIRCUITRY AND CREATE A STRETCH CONTROLLED OSCILLATOR

6 – 10PM, 11 NOVEMBER
at the DUBLIN MUSIC HACKSPACE
A4 Sounds, St. Joseph’s Parade

In this workshop we will create a basic oscillator and experiment with ways to control pitch and modulation with knits!  You will knit your own soft circuitry sensor (don’t worry if you can’t knit, we’ll use a machine) and use it to control the oscillator.
Soft circuit technologies allow you to explore new ways of interacting with electronic instruments.  Instead of twiddling knobs we we can squeeze, pull and move to create sounds.  You don’t need electronics experience to participate.  However if you already have experience you will be able to use these technologies to push your own creations further.
All materials provided.
Here’s an example of a synth harp I have made using this technology
